Principal's Message

To our SSA Families,

It has certainly been an interesting two years. Throughout the pandemic, our entire school community (students, staff, and families) have demonstrated incredible resiliency and a continuous commitment to deliver high-quality education in a safe and nurturing environment. Our students have remained our top priority. I have the utmost confidence in the professionalism, competence, ingenuity and commitment of our SSA team.

Our school's mission is to provide a safe and nurturing environment where staff and students of all ability levels and backgrounds are encouraged to grow academically, personally, physically and socially within our school, family and community.

We endeavor to work with families and the community to prepare all learners for success in an inclusive, caring, safe, and healthy learning environment

At any time that you have questions that are not covered within our parent handbook (attached on this website), please never hesitate to reach out by phone (902-661-2499) or email (

Last year, things looked quite different at school as a result of the pandemic.  Our school community has demonstrated the ability to pivot and shift as things change so we are confident that we'll flexibly adapt to any changes to our school structure/processes as they become necessary.  If it is necessary to provide you with information that differs from that contained within the handbook, we’ll be sure to inform our families. We rely on and appreciate your support, patience and understanding in all matters relating to school.

Each year we look forward to welcoming back our students with kindness, understanding, love and respect. We are #SSAStrong.
